XEOMIN 100IU (incobotulinumtoxinA, also called botulinum toxin type A), is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity. Xeomin is use to treat cervical dystonia (severe spasms in the neck muscles).

XEOMIN 100 IU is a blocking agent which is use to treat cervical dystonia. One vial contains 100 units of clostridium.

XEOMIN 100 IU is use to treat muscle spasms and pain. Once XEOMIN is inject into the muscles, it starts to inhibit acetylcholine from being release. It is this chemical that makes fibers in the muscle contract, so without acetylcholine, muscles will contract less, resulting in fewer spasms and discomfort to the individual.

WHO SHOULD NOT USE XEOMIN?

Patients who have bleeding disorders of any type.
Patients who have generalized disorders of muscle activity, e.g. myasthenia gravis.
Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
Pregnant or lactating women.
